The rapids on the Nooksack begin immediately as the river attempts to negotiate a narrow, twisting and steep gorge choked with huge boulders. Eventually, the gorge gives way to a wider valley which allows you to see the breathtaking beauty of the North Cascades. Permission to raft the Nooksack River is granted by the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. With record snow falls up to 1100 inches in one season- Mt Baker has the world record for snowfall.
